Primark Haul SS15

Hi guys,

Primark have been on POINT since September! They have steeped up their game.

 

I have been seriously impressed with their SS15 collection pictures and what I have seen in store. It's so good, the messy fray in the Oxford street branch which I loathe seemed palatable! 

I have picked up a few things over the last few weeks and I emphasise a FEW as I am attempting to curb spending mwwhhahahahaa,  I say yhat a lot but seriously. I only got a few things.

Lets get started---->

1. Rose Gold Loafer Flatforms £14,  I  LOVE them. They hit that 70's trend in a big way and can be worn going out of to jazz up a work outfit. They have been rinsed and that is all lol.

2.Silver midi ring set £3. I am very into silver atm. I think silver adds a nice wild west/ gypsy fortune teller vibe which I like. Plus it's really handy having a finger placement guide as you can use it to see what other formations you can create. I usually go for a medium for a true midi effect on my fingers but I got the large as my fingers are chubbers lolz and I wanted the base rings to fit or be a little bigger if necessary.

3. Envelope navy clutch bag with gold hardware £3 on sale wooh hoo. You can never have enough simple cluches and it gives your shoulder a rest from hefty bags as you can only carry the basics! Test yourself look fabulous and only carry the necessities.

5. Purple nail varnish £1. I adore purple and it is my favourite colour. This bright almost iridescent berry colour is perfect for adding depth to spring/summer outfits. Hell it's perfect for all year round. This colour also works so well with the rose gold loafers above and makes an outfit look vibrant.

6. Delicate gold necklaces £1.50/ £1. As much as I love a massive statement necklace pieces, sometimes I just want a simple and sophisticated piece to finish off an outfit. Or that can be worn everyday and I found 2 bargains in Primark.

7. Orange loafers £3 on sale wooh. I adore orange and I think it just looks stunning in summer. Does anybody else buy the black ones in bulk and wear them to death all year?

So that was my little haul of key pieces for the next few months.

Body Candy (Jewellery Haul)

I don't know about you guys but I like my jewellery to be a statement regardless of size, playfulness or subtlety. I went for what turned into a mini shop blitz with my friend and I got all of these pieces for less than £3.50 each YAAAAAAAY. I have voiced my disappointment at the sales this year but I have managed to pick a bits and bobs up so I can't complain too much. I am really loving Pewter, rose gold and golden hues atm.

H&M and Primark body candy

Hey lovelies, just a quick one on new items in my jewellery box. Here are a few of my favs right now.....

I got these a few months back but loads of people have been asking me where I have got my necklaces from. So I thought I would share them in a post. When a woman chases you down the high road in the rain its time to give out the secrets lol

Collar: short rigid necklace was £7.99 now £3.99

I have been wearing this so much have had to prise it out of a few fast fingered friends hands. This is still on the H& M website in silver. I am unsure about in stores. I actually got my necklace for £5 so I was lucky I guess. This is a cool way to brighten up any outfit. The laser filigree cut out design is modern whilst the flowers give it a feminine elegant edge. I will say be careful of the hinges as they turn in odd ways and are strangely hard to twist back :-/

This is a detachable super long gold chain with a gorgeous orange rock pendant and gold backing. I love that the colour is so on trend and  I absolutely love rocks.  When I was younger I wanted to be a geologist or archaeologist so rock cores have always fascinated me. You can't really see it in the picture but the swirls are cool. I am totally feeling the hippie talisman quality and is a great summer alternative to the Navajo trend. This will defiantly get a lot of wear at festivals and beauts summer days lazing in the park. This would also work well as a key chain accessory. Unfortunately I couldn't find this online but it may still be in stores.

On to primarni.........

 Primark have been impressing me in regards to jewellery as of late! Their clothes are still a bit hit and miss unfortunately. The seasonal look books always look beautiful with several possible purchases but as everybody knows the primark shopping experience isn't the best. Anyway I bought these a few months ago once again and have been getting rave reviews.

Those massive hoops at the top were £2.50. they are so gorgeous and they look really different on every person (lost the back of one today waaahhh). I chose the silver as they looked better to me and the gold looked a little garish for my tastes. They are rather light compared to other hoops  but do have a little weight to them. As I have gotten older I am becoming more aware of  the fact that I need to preserve my ear holes. I don't want my ears weighed down and end up hanging or resting against my shoulders when I am old lol.

The earrings below were £2 as you can see. They have a strange tarnished finish to them . They have a mild  Grecian feel to them. Totally beauts.

I love, love , love this necklace.  I have been wearing it none stop! It was £4 and has a substantial weight to it and the hinged areas give it a really modern tribal feel. If you are creative and want to switch it up you could remove some panels or incorporate other jewellery pieces into the design them. It also looks good when worn the wrong way round as well.

Sour Cherry Jewellery

I am constantly on the look out for small artisan designers and companies who are bringing something new and exciting to the table. I think it is incredibly important to support those grass roots companies and their entrepreneurial spirits, especially young British designers.

Kayleigh Walker launched  Sour Cherry  in 2009 in Sheffield and has displayed a talent for creating original kitsch, quirky and innovative pieces. She has taken advantage of e-retail and has many shops online and  can also be be found at many craft fairs and markets.

I bought my first piece of Sour Cherry jewellery a few weeks ago and I am absolutely delighted. 
I had about 10 things in my cart but reigning in my glee,I decided  to buy one piece to test drive quality etc. 
Very grown up of me I know!! I am so pleased with my necklace, I bought the GEEK necklace with a silver chain. (You have a option of gold) and haven't stopped wearing it since it arrived. 
Its cute, edgy, modern and a classic piece, loves it. 
I heard about this company about 2 years ago and saw a few pieces at an event outside London but the gods conspired against me and I wasn't able to buy anything at the time :-(

 The items are incredible affordable and there is definitely something for everyone. 
I will be purchasing many more pieces from sour cherry and making this company a legitimate part of my five a day
