The healthier breakfast challenge: day 6



Day Six

Hi guys,
 It's day six of my challenge and I wanted something a little more greasy to kick start the day.
I know this is supposed a healthier breakfast challenge but part of being generally healthier is having a balanced diet so there will be no deprivation here!

So a cheese and ham toastie it is.......

Here we have Honey roast ham with Gruyere cheese and chilli avacado.

2 x Wholewheat bread
1/2 x medium avocado
3 x small slices of gruyere
2 x slices of honey roast ham
Add died chives and seasoning




This was a quick snap and now I am rushing off the market to buy flat peaches and haggle for avocados *shrugs*


Here is a slightly healthier day 5.

The healthier breakfast challenge: day 4



Day Four

The humble Fruit platter finally makes an appearance.

It's colourful, bountiful and good for me what more could I want?

I adore all of these fruits individually but it is delightful to mix it up.

The healthier breakfast challenge: day 2



Day two

Hi guys,

Chopped fruit


1 x Nectarine 
1 x Peach
8 x Cherries halved
Steel cut oats porridge made with water  (not a fan of milk)
 2 x spoonfuls Greek yoghurt

The healthier breakfast challenge: day 1



Hi loves,

Soooo I know I should eat breakfast in the morning but I really struggle with eating it.

I ate breakfast everyday until I was about 11/12 but as soon as I went to Secondary I stopped. 
 Mainly because my school was in Central London so I had to get up a little earlier but mainly because I don't enjoy eating food that early. 
It just doesn't sit right with me so I would skip it or have a mid morning snack instead.

These days I am a bit better but I still prefer having breakfast a little later say 10am.

I have decided to set myself a healthy breakfast eating (on time) challenge to get myself into the habit but also to see if my energy levels increase.

For the next 7 days I will be eating an early and healthy -ish breakfast so lets get started.

First dish

Whole wheat sour dough bread with seasoned scrambled eggs and avocado.


Ingredients 

2 x medium free range eggs
1 x small ripe avocado 
2 x slices of whole wheat sour dough bread

Avocado and scrambled eggs on toast

Leon the (culinary) professional: a quick review


Hi yall,

I have been trying to take fresh, homemade meals to work recently. 
A. Because it is healthier 
B. Because its cheaper but mainly because the weather outside has been crazy stooopid and I for one feel no need to be attacked by rain or break another umbrella -_-.

 We have offices in Victoria which is my old stomping ground and when situated there. I am usually a sucker for all things Wasabi *drools* if i am buying lunch. However recently I have been making the pilgrimage across the road to Leon.
It is fresh, well made and very tasty but enough about the adorable guy serving at the counter lol.
I am all over the the chargrilled chicken super food salad and the Leon baked fries with lemon, lime and ginger juice.
 Their chargrilled chicken burger isn't bad either.
